April 06 Is this the real Homer Simpson?When I take public transportation to work...
I take the following:
1. the 47 bus to 4th and Townsend
2. Caltrain to Mountain View
3. shuttle to the office.
Yesterday, while in phase 1, on the 47 Muni bus, I took a pic of a guy sitting/sleeping right across from me... Is this the real Homer Simpson?

March 05 way to late update...My blog was a long forgotten friend until today! Due to the perfect storm of events in SF, I am currently sitting in a coffee shop in Hayes Valley updating this sucka.
Snow boarding on Fillmore and Vallejo went down (no pun entended) on August 27th. I managed to get in some heated email exchanges with some neighbors. There was a hypocritical view that the event was not good for the the neighborhood unlike the SF Grand Prix bike race. I still don't get the logic but at least we won and the event was amazing.
I have some pixs and vids that I will update shortly but thought this picture on this page just about says it all...!
August 31 We want snow in SF...Please go to this site and sign the online petition to bring snow to SF...!
August 25 No snow on saturday - delayed...The mayor temporarily pulled the plug, stating as soon as 2 weeks from now the event 'could' happen... With the bike race climbing my hill 8 times on 9/4, i doubt this really cool event will happen any time soon...

August 23 Snow or no Snow in SF this weekend?Looks like my neighbors are getting cold feet (no pun intended) with this snowboard jumping event this Saturday. As I walked to my house tonight the guys in a news van on my block getting ready for the 11 o'clock news said, that it is still up in the air that this thing will happen.

August 21 It is going to snow on Saturday!On August 27th, my home street is going to be blocked off. NO PARKING on Friday and Saturday, sigh.
but wait, there is a really cool reason, some company called ICER, is planning to drop four truck loads of snow on Fillmore street and have a bunch of Yahoo, X-gamers, gravity gamer types snowboard down my street and jump a bad ass ramp all day...
I have my digital camera ready... Stay tuned to feedback from the event. I'm back...MessageCast getting acquired by Microsoft back in May '05 was a very cool day in my career... A small little startup now part of the V8 engine of computer companies. (A friend recently joked that Microsoft is bigger than France)
With the aquisition, my old email address mike (at) messagecast (dot) com was basically DOA, not really needed anymore. The unfortunate, minimal use of that email address lead to not updating my MSN Space that was attached... (http://spaces.msn.com/members/rube/) It wasn't easy keeping it up because I couldn't just click on the "My Space" button in MSN Messenger or the toolbar. Plus, since I no longer use that email address for MSN Messenger no one was getting *gleamed*.
...the site just faded away...
Hope to see a future feature where a MSN Space allows for multiple passport accounts.
So, why am I starting this sucker up again? I just received notice in the mail that there is going to be snow in SF, Yes, f'in snow!
It got me thinking... I need to start this thing up again, even though I know no one really reads this darn thing.
